Creating the Local Foods Incentive Grant, Establishing Local Food Purchasing Goals, and Creating a Task Force on Universal School Lunch

H. 106 (Act 67) creates the local foods incentive grant for schools to purchase locally produced foods, establishes a local food purchasing goal of 20% by 2023, and mandates annual reporting of local food purchases by school districts. The bill also creates the Task Force on Universal School Lunch to make recommendations for providing lunch to all public school students at no cost.
