Last Visited 3/31/26
Policy Summary

This law exempts deliveries of organic waste to composting facilities from state solid waste disposal fees, and directs that state solid waste disposal fees go, in part, to support municipal composting facilities. This lowers the costs associated with composting, and may serve as a benefit to urban farms and gardens that rely on this program.
